Yoga didn’t just happen yesterday.  It has been around for thousands and thousands of years.  Countless people from all over the world throughout history have turned to Yoga to help them navigate toward a more peaceful existence.  Yoga combines breathing, thoughtfulness, and movement to create an opportunity for a person to experience life to the fullest. 

 

The benefits of yoga are endless and proven.  Everyone from The American Osteopathic Association to Parent Magazine to Harvard to CNN and many more all agree that yoga has a lot to offer. 

 

Here are just a few of the benefits of a regular Yoga practice:

  • Promotes a more relaxed, comfortable state of being – the perfect state for teaching & learning and getting better sleep at night!

  • Encourages community and connectedness

  • Eases anxiety and tension

  • Supports social and emotional learning

  • Improves listening skills

  • Improves postures, assisting children to sit comfortably for long periods

  • Enhances motor skills and balance

  • Improves confidence and self-esteem

  • Encourages respect for others

  • Promotes development of the vestibular system

  • Develops a strong and flexible body

  • Increases balance

  • Develops core strength

  • Reduces injuries and improves performance

  • Strengthens the immune system
